Collectively, the former Premier League footballers have secured fifteen significant honors and transferred for combined transfer sums of about £123 million.

Household Figures and Global Stars

Stephen Ireland began playing for the team during pre-season this season through close mate and current Wythenshawe player Blake Norton, and the former Irish player then asked other former professionals, who all play in a midweek small-sided match, to participate.

Ex- Senegalese forward Oumar Niasse, who scored 12 goals in 65 Premier League matches for the Toffees and still attends their home games, also had his debut versus Collegiate OB - who are based in the city and wear an Everton training kit as their uniform.

"My mate Stephen Ireland told me 'come and have a game, it's good fun'," said the striker.

"After that he told me we were facing a team from Liverpool and the shock I had when I noticed them wearing Everton kits - I say this is strange for me!

"The spectators who come and see are pleased and to make a moment if they watch us competing there and to pose us questions - it's more like the joy of us having a place we can play, with organisation of course."

Such is the bench strength at the club, he had his debut at full-back.

"That's a little unusual but then, I love sprinting and just go inside - I'm not defending that much," he added.

"I warn my centre-back 'I'm not staying' and that I'm just going to keep attacking.

"The movement is what I'm looking for. It's enjoyable."

"Now we can't wait for the second fixture."
