Marvel Rivals Boldly Reveals the New Lady Loki Outfit
While some may call Marvel Rivals as an Overwatch clone, developer NetEase deserves praise for finding innovative ways to appeal to its eager and dedicated fanbase. Enter Lady Loki, a completely new skin for the current Strategist hero Loki, offering players a faithful to the comics version of the Asgardian trickster god(dess).
A Reskin of Loki, Not Hela
Contrary to earlier fan speculation, the previously teased Lady Loki costume is not a skin for Hela. Rather, it is a full-on reskin of Loki the character, complete with fresh voiceover work. Judging by the reveal trailer, Lady Loki retains all of Loki's signature abilities: Mystical Missile, Deception, and Doppelgänger. The sole difference is her new appearance, tailored to appeal to an segment of fans eager to part with their Lattice.
A Look and Sound in Action
Below is a look at Lady Loki on the battlefield, accompanied by a sample of her VO, performed by voice actor Abby Trott. It's worth noting Trott is also the voice behind Magik in Marvel Rivals.
The character's dialogue and onscreen presence add a new energy to the well-known playstyle.
Opening the Door to Possibilities
Now that NetEase has broken the seal with this gender-bent skin for Loki, the Marvel Rivals community is already considering similar swaps. Popular ideas currently include:
- Gwenpool as the upcoming Deadpool.
- Thor's alter ego Jane Foster as Thor.
- Spider-Gwen as Spider-Woman.
