Slow Start Leads to Goal Fest

Both teams produced much worth mentioning during the first 45 minutes as they cancelled each other out in midfield.

Initial 45 minutes would not have enthused viewers, but those who persisted witnessed an explosion of thrilling action after halftime – as Juventus fought back on three occasions, as eight goals scored after the 51st minute.

This marks only the second-ever UCL match where eight scores were netted during a single half, after the latter period in Bayern's 9-2 win against Zagreb last season.

Back-and-Forth Second Half

Karim Adeyemi gave Dortmund the first goal when he neatly maneuvered possession just outside of the box and placed it into the far corner.

Dortmund improved considerably with their finishing, but, 11 minutes later, a moment of brilliance from Juve from Kenan Yildiz resulted in the young star bending a stunning strike into the far top corner from distance.

Under 120 seconds later and Dortmund were again in front, as Nmecha delivering another sublime finish curling a first-time effort top shelf.

Yet the drama continued with more turns to come, and Vlahovic coolly finishing in a breakaway less than two minutes to level once more.

Late Drama

After surrendering the lead on two occasions, BVB seized control once again when Yan Couto, sprinting into the penalty area, drilled a low drive inside of the near post, just beyond the dive of Michele di Gregorio.

Ramy Bensebaini doubled the advantage from the penalty spot after former England Under-21 international Kelly touched the ball in his box.

But the Serbian fired a last-gasp shot in off the woodwork before setting up former club defender Kelly to seal a late draw.
